    Campus Party: Secrets of Superhero Science

    On 27th May I will be presenting on the Science Stage at 13.00 at Campus Party in Utrecht. Campus Party is a huge public event showcasing science, technology and innovation and is expected to be attended by 5,000 people over 5 days.

    The description of the talk is as follows:

    Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a superpower? Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? Have you ever dreamed of having Sue Storm’s power of invisibility, one of Iron Man’s amazing flying suits or the ability to produce spider silk just like Spider-Man?

    The answers to these and many other questions will be explored in the talk “Secrets of Superhero Science”. You will be taken on a journey through some of the incredible superpowers, hear the stories that created some of the biggest superhero icons and learn about the real science that could in the future lead to the emergence of superpowers in the real world. You’ll also hear about how these powers could be safely integrated into our society and how we might control their use in the future.
